| The EVIL TWIN On-Demand! | |
"Hey all if you have Comcast , go to On Demand , then music , guitar lessons , guitar world and my lesson should be there . hope you enjoy." A guitar lesson from BLACK LABEL SOCIETY's Nick Catanese is now available in the "Guitar World - Guitar Star Lesson Series" on Comcast On Demand cable. Catanese can be seen playing his Washburn ET Idol demonstrating various guitar techniques.
According to Catanese, when it comes to playing guitar, technique is more important than speed, "You have to learn how to play from the heart first," he says. "That is the main key. If you don't have no heart, it doesn't matter how fast you are. You need feel and heart to become a good guitar player." Catanese describes the latest BLACK LABEL SOCIETY CD, "Shot to Hell", as "a mixture of both 'Mafia' and 'Book of Shadows' - great heavy stuff and wicked melodic songs with so much heart. Zakk [Wylde, BLS mainman] just blows my mind with his creativity. He is a song machine." BLACK LABEL SOCIETY is in the middle of a North American tour, which kicked off on March 9 in St. Petersburg, Florida at The State Theatre and will wrap on April 13 at the Edmonton Events Centre in Edmonton, Alberta.

The winner of the most interviews and most popular guitarist on the site for 2006 is guitarist Nick Catanese of Black Label Society, and coming in close second is Zakk Wylde, and bass player John JD Deservio. Thank U so much Nick, Zakk and JD for your support at the magazines!!!! In January and February, I featured Nick and JD at KNAC.COM. I introduced Black label Society to the readers at KNAC.COM and slowly converted them into BLS believers!!!! It is has been an amazing year for Black Label Society. Nick also did a very special Tribute to Dime on the "Rebel Meets Rebel" Cd on both KNAC and Glam-metal.com. This summer Black Label Society headlined the second stage at Ozzfest. Glam-Metal had Exclusive coverage. I also had the opportunity to feature Nick in a pre-Ozzfest interview at KNAC and feature Zakk in June at KNAC to promote the new album, and Ozzfest!!!! It was a true honor to promote my friends Black Label Society!!! In September, Nick's guitar was inducted into the Pittsburgh Hard Rock Cafe!!!! We had the Exclusive on Nick's Proudest moment!!!! IN October, Black Label Society kicked off the "Shot To Hell Tour" We had Exclusive interviews from our favorites , Zakk, Nick and JD at Glam-metal.
